“Shade City” Venice Biennial

An “Ideal FutureCity” project, exhibited in the Israel Pavillion at the Venice Biennale, 2000

Starting with the fact that transport and parking are both necessary, as well as being the monsters of all modern planning, this ‘ideal city’ shows a way in which a large high-density city can provide for public transport and private parking and also be a pleasant pedestrian city with walking streets and shopping, as well as having easy access to green areas, playgrounds, gardens, light and fresh air.
